Well, let me ask you are rather esoteric and personal question, if you do not mind. Did it ever occur to you that maybe the primary reason for going to college was to gain wisdom?

The great thing about college is that it is a central place where people can learn from all the great minds, of all the worlds cultures throughout history . And have professors who can interpret and explain difficult wrtiers to understand like Plato and James Joyce.

For me, the only thing I cared about in college was gaining knowledge and wisdom. And I told both my daughters that is the primary reason for an education.

Besides that, the developed mind can do or learn just about anything.

E.g., and with all due respect, do you understand existentialism? It is a pretty important concept.
