Long term... the stimulus is a short term program... as you know. And the actual manufacturing is a small part of the economic activity generated anytime there is a transaction. Commerce begets commerce.


Of course, sometimes commerce does "begat" commerce. Somtimes it doesn't. IN the case of LED lighting installed by localities, it obviously DOES NOT. Either you're too stupid to know this or too partisan to care.

Explain how the replacements of these bulbs will "begat" other commerce. The locality purchases the hardware (basically, manufactured in China) -- on which CREE *DOES* make a little money -- then they send their guys out to install it.

So, CREE makes a little money which is reinvested in more plants in China.

If that is your idea of "effective" stimulus, I've got a turtle tunnel I'd be glad to sell you.
