Commodity price manipulation is part of the
control game that dealers and crimex engage
in. Examples are too plentiful to mention. The
latest such action was this month, and it
caused oil and gas collapse in the beginning
of the month. Of course, the boys were informed
and front ran the move <g>

Some of these manipulative actions kill
firms. For example, in 2006 Amaranth was
killed when GS revamped the weighting
of their commodity index that many investors
follow. Of course, they profited as Amaranth
died. Nobody put them in jail, cause downside
manipulation of commodity markets is not
manipulation at all <g>

In a way, part of me was happy to see the blow
up of 2008, as sick as it sounds, and as much
devastation as it caused. That part would be much,
much happier if we saw less actual crimes committed
to "fix" the system, and the right people in
jail. We did not see that, but, rather, a continuation
of the previous criminal policy with some scapegoats
like Bernie being sacrificial lambs and the
real criminals at large and in charge...

But the traders know about it all, and are very
sick of it.
