The reply you got from Kenneth is what is known as 'voodoo economics'.

Absolute numbers are what count-----when you pay your bills you don't get a break because the economy is growing. You pay the absolute number and if you are late by 1 hour or 1 day etc.----a fee gets tacked on increasing that absolute number.

Yes, voodoo economics.

tonto, apparently you are ignorant of economics. In "real terms" refers to the increase in terms of a percentage of GDP. If the economy grows faster than the debt, the economy can afford the debt. This is what counts - more than the absolute number
