Phil, you think a criminal represents capitalism. That's silly. There are warts too, but because they occur in people working as capitalists doesn't mean the warts are caused by capitalism. Criminals are everywhere. In socialist systems, the crime is actually an official part of the system though it's of course not legally a crime in socialism to forcibly rob people. At least Bernie Madoff used only force, unlike in your perfect ideology which uses both subterfuge and force to rob people.

Why do you think I should be even slightly happy at Goldman Sachs making off with the taxes I pay in the USA? When people make absurd comments, it shows that they have no idea.

What is happening is that socialists who want big and bigger government are thrilled with the financial mess and exposed crime because they think it validates their destructive ideologies.

The US$ don't forget is socialism on a grand scale. It is legislated by the USA government and control is passed to Big Ben and his buddies. The foundation of the USA economy, the US$, is the most socialist part of it.

To be capitalist, we need to privatize the money supply, and I am in the process of developing the world's new currency, Qi. My prototype is performing well. The socialists can keep their US$.

It's true that my vision of capitalism doesn't exist anywhere, but some places are better than others. For example, Hong Kong is tops and NZ, which was once more capitalist and was about richest country in the world, is sliding into socialist nirvana with poverty and murder increasing daily.
