Sounds like JXN may have had a touch of Cheyne-Stokes (it can occur in otherwise healthy people during sleep at high altitudes - Wiki).

Glad you're home safely. I was watching the Whitney webcam and saw that storm come in and got a little worried. Also saw that there was a forest fire on Wednesday and they cleared everyone off the trail.
