You were blessed with a great father. My father was working for Owen Corning Fiberglass in the downtown office of Dallas and saw JFK from the window. Not long after the teletypes in his office poured the bad news over and over. I was in the third grade and my teacher "Mrs Ryan" said something about the President being shot and school was dismissed. Politics was tense then also with Cuba and although I didn't understand, I remember my parents saying they hoped the President would be alright the night before...
