I learned decades ago that the financial relativity theory manipulators and self-dealing kleptocratic socialist bandits were NOT going to act in my favour, being a saver. So the whole shambles is not only what I expect from them, it's kind of normal. I recall way back in the 1960s discussion to the effect that if inflation got to 5% it would be tantamount to game over. It was just a few years later inflation zoomed past 5% and I learned up close and personal what it was all about. Fortunately, I was onto the game by then, so was unharmed by the 1970s and 1980s inflationary time and being cynical about the 1980s financial puff ball period, escaped from that with profits too. There remains potential for all-time world record collapse and carnage. There has never been 6 billion people seething around the planet in such a comingled and co-dependent globalized way. There has now been two years of market clearing since Northern Rock went belly up. That's quite a lot of tidying up. Maurice
