This is like keeping of 2 set of books; imo made necessary by Government regulations.

One that shows the high inflated price and then one that shows the cost that is charged the Federal Government.

The inflated price is partially 'written off'.

If the person has both Medicare and Private insurance, the private insurance may pick up the tab for the inflated price that Medicare doesn't pick up.

So solution is to eliminate the duplicate system-------get rid of the Government system and have a private system with choice of insurers.

SS recipients can use their $ that the Government would take for their system to pay the private system.

No more duplication. Medical system can then focus on what they should be doing------providing quality medical care and procedures for all.
