That's a great story.

I have a glasses story myself. I graduated HS in 1970 and hitchhiked across Canada with a friend. I ended up in San Francisco visiting a friend who lived there. Her brother was there also visiting and was headed back to Michigan so I caught a ride with him.

He wanted to stop in Utah on the way. He'd been fishing and lost his glasses and wanted to go see if he could find them.
We drove far into the back country and hiked in a mile or so to the stream where he'd fished. We fished several hours without finding the glasses, although we caught our dinner. Made a fire and cooked the fish up for dinner. I took the dishes over to the river to rinse them out. As I squatted on the bank washing the dishes, I looked down and there, on a ledge under about a foot of water were his glasses. I've often wondered what the odds were of finding those glasses in the wilderness.
