Al, my big problem with universal health care isn't whether we should have it or not. I think it's inevitable the way health care has evolved over the past century. Maybe it's for the better. My problem is how it will be implemented. I have seen MANY failures of publicly-funded services from health to education. Every single time the excuse for maintaining the status quo is the same. Better to have "imperfect" services than none at all. I don't buy that B.S. argument. Universal health care is going to run into the same problems unless we fix the current issues with health care, especially the rising cost of it. Otherwise, the cure is going to be much worse than the ailment. Obama is aware of that, but I'm not sure it's within his power to fix via committees. Tenchusatsu
