Good Evening Gary...I think you and I are the only ones following APAT on this thread. We may have the best kept secret on the NASDAQ.
I have followed this stock since early 1994. We have the same conservative management, almost four additional years of research and development, A new state of the art manufacturing facility in Aberdeen, South Dakota, The Chief Engineer from Cienna now on board in Aberdeen running the facility, a sales manager hired, new staff at both Aberdeen and Blaine, Minnesota, and UV Detectors and WDM components being ready for market.
At the same time, the Company has not diluted the stock, 8,300,000 shares issued with a float of, maybe, 5,000,000 shares, a relatively strong financial position, a great working relationship with the South Dakota Economic Development and the Aberdeen Economic Development.
Now take a look at the chart for the past few months. Each week is a small move up with a pretty good jump the past week. The stock hit $8.50 late this afternoon, closing at $8.00.
In the annual report, Dr. Jain, CEO of APAT stated that production should begin in Aberdeen about the end of September. The schedule may have been off by a month but I would guess that something is now happening. No News, No Announcements, yet the stock has been moving up.
I would not be surprised to see some sort of announcement in the next 30 days regarding a sale of some product or an alliance to manufacture components for some one else.
This Company will not need to generate a great deal of income to put it in a profit mode. Just sitting back and watching. Could be one Green Christmas.
Best to You.
