We'll see. Here's my bet. I think if the economy improves, Obama will get re-elected. I also think the Dems will hold their gains in Congress in 2010 and 2012. If the economy does not improve, then Obama will be a one term President and Congress will get more evenly split between the GOP and Dems. Having said that, the economy is going to be looking significantly better by next year and will have fully recovered just in time for Obama to get re-elected. That's my best guess.

Then comes 2014. At that point, the Dems will have overplayed their hand, just like the GOP did in their first 6 years under Bush. Americans will rebel and give the GOP some serious gains in Congress and then we will elect a GOP President in 2016. That's my prediction.
