JLA, do you know any people who apply for Social Security Disability because they can't afford medical insurance and can get Medicare if they get on SSD? I know of many people who would continue to work if they could afford medical insurance but they can't get it at an affordable price so they drop out of the labor market and go on SSD. This is a big source of business for lawyers who practice Disability Law.
