wont be like Canada's" Not immediately, but that seems to be the direction and goal. Why outlaw new health care plans? Why are the proponents telling the single-payer advocates Obama's plan is a step to what they want?

Instead of fighting it, tell your congress critters that you want the best plan possible and indicate provisions you like and dislike.
