I was ranting about empathy because we were discussing how little of it really, really exists. I kind of turned our discussion in that direction because imo even if public employees fully understood what a private business owner faces in his/her daily operation they still wouldn't give a hoot.

I would imagine public lawyers and SSA employees get ears full of what private citizens go through......at least on a fundamental level........and still couldn't care less.

IOW in the greater scheme of things, people are out for themselves and their families. Contrary to the popular rhetoric spewed by the left, most people don't give the well being of their fellow men a second thought.

I admit I'm a cynic.........and would hope I am wrong about that?
