I agree that Christos Costakos was lying. Both Monday and
Tuesday I had a very difficult time getting through. When
I did, I had no clue as to whether the data I was being
served was actually real. At one point I checked six
option quotes and each of them showed different IOM stock
prices.

I'm sure www.microsoft.com and www.yahoo.com get lots
of traffic too. I'm sure on the day of the crash
and afterward quote.yahoo.com got lots of traffic.
I'm sure lots of data was coming down their pipes.
But they *still* worked. I hate it when my own
stock broker denies my existence. It happened to
me too -- I got the invalid user error too. I called
them and was told by the system I'd be on hold for
20 minutes. I waited 30 and hung up.

Now I know that you cannot count on E*Trade or other
discount, web-based brokers in intense trading situations.

I feel for you, Francis.
