I think a lot of us have decided that we've held our tongue long enough. Some of the just plain silliness this bunch is trying to foist on us, and the world, is over the top. I'm pretty intolerant of the "I just can't do it on my own" crowd, and I never apologize for expecting people to do their very best.

You said it in an earlier post:

If the democrats really wanted to help the less fortunate, they would encourage self-reliance and assist people to do for themselves.

I have no problem with the "assist" part. The part I have a problem with is the laziness and apathy that comes with it. After all of these years and trillions of dollars, the "poor" remain poor, the hungry remain hungry (thinking "Live Aid" here........at least that is what we're told.

Here's an analogy for ya!

Some human beings operate best in 1st gear, others 2nd gear and yet other run best in 3rd gear. 3rd gear being the most efficient and necessary gear needed when trying to produce something worthwhile.

Unfortunately, gears wear out and break.

Those of us operating in 3rd gear are going to need to find a way to replace parts or we're going to break down completely and there will be no fixing that.
