Sometime in the past, someone mentioned that AMAT always led the market, up or down. It seems very true to me. I observed this at least thrice these few weeks.
1. AMAT dropped significantly even before Intel missed earning, signal ling the correction.
2. Yesterday, it dropped less than many large cap tech stocks.
3. Today, most significantly, AMAT was up almost from the beginning of the trading while most tech stocks tanked another 5-10% before shooting up. It was very strikng to actually see this in my quote list. Trusting that I reversed my sell orders and bought some instead. It was very gratifying to have AMAT as an indicator!!
