The steep decline in Borland's market share was only partly due to extremely unprofessional and incomplete documentation; nor was their near-miss with near-total annihilation a result of failed technical support programs and shoddy information resources; nor was it the absence of all-important sample code. Granted, Borland support products and services do suck beyond all human comprehension, but the truth is simply this: it was the attitude of the clowns who ran this company into the ground and spent more time deflecting criticism than fixing problems that brought Borland to its knees. Some of those same back-woods buffoons are still there today and they still don't know shoot from shinola. It's the arrogant and equally ignorant nincompoops in the middle-to-upper management layers who screwed this company up, and they are in no position to fix it. Borland never was a great company, they were never even a good one, but I am willing to go out on a limb and support them provided they jettison the slag and bring in knowledgable product managers.
