This is all blowback from the Troopergate case. Sarah and Todd put themselves in a terribly vulnerable position by pursuing a personal vendetta at work. What they did is like leaving your unlocked car in a bad part of town with an open suitcase full of money in plain view. Wooten has to be laughing his ass off!

Believe me, I spent years in Alaska state government, mostly working in the same downtown office building where Sarah has her Anchorage office now. I've seen plenty of newly elected/appointed people come and go. All too often, these political types come in all fired up and just have no clue what the boundaries are. You have to know how the system works, or it will chew you up and spit you out.

This particular ethics case isn't over, and there's still a chance that Sarah could prevail in a formal hearing. But the political damage is terrible, and all so avoidable.
