Well Paul - in your understanding of things work you should be looking forward to the economic nirvana ahead. When you look at US per capita numbers you need to look at demographics. It is a huge issue here not present in many other countries the left so admires.

In a no growth society the bottom rung inhabitants of the US economic ladder will be permanently left behind. They will remain loyal democratic voters.
