Well, they donate more to AL than AR (Fed Spending per dollar of Federal taxes -- AL=1.71, which is among the 10 highest, AR=1.47, basically in the middle).

Of course states with huge populations and having much higher median wages are going to have a larger tax burden. But those states ("liberal" states) are consistently voting for those higher taxes. We aren't.

I'm not at all sure how you think it is even a relevant discussion but you keep bringing it up so I guess you do.

We (red states) aren't the ones voting for higher taxes. Anytime the liberal states want to stop supporting higher federal taxes I'm sure the red states will be right there with them.
