Here is a Fed-independent way: Short spoos, get long GLD with proceeds. Worked like a charm for 9 years since the stock bubble burst. Well, it was kinda flat during the so called bull market of 2002-2007. Well, not really, just a portion of it, 2003-2005. We are back to 1990, though, so one should be prepared for this secular trend to end at some point. <g> stockcharts.com
