Beck: Health Care bill is hiding "reparations"...

Beck just dropped a truth bomb on Obama's Health Care bill...

Medical and nursing school admissions are to be preferenced
for minorities. As are health care jobs.

americanthinker.com

All 1,018 pages of the Democrats' health care bill can be inspected here:

edlabor.house.gov

The bill includes racial preferences.

Under the Democrats' health care bill, if a medical school wants to increase its chances of receiving many different kinds of grants and contracts from the federal government, it should have a demonstrated record of training individuals who are from underrepresented minority groups. This is because the Democrats' health care bill requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to give preference to the entities that have demonstrated such a record in the awarding of these contracts to medical schools and other institutions.

The bill does not state what would qualify as a "demonstrated record", so we can expect medical schools and the other entities to do whatever they think they can get away with to train as many "individuals who are from underrepresented minority groups" as they think they might need to have a better "demonstrated record" in this regard then other entities competing for the grants and contracts. The Democrats' health care bill creates a very significant financial incentive for medical schools and other entities to lower admission standards for "individuals who are from underrepresented minority groups" if that is what it takes to have the winning "demonstrated record".

On page 879-880, the bill states that the Secretary of Health and Human Services

"shall make grants to, or enter into contracts with, eligible entities . . . to operate a professional training program in the field of family medicine, general internal medicine, general pediatrics, or geriatrics, to provide financial assistance and traineeships and fellowships to those students, interns, residents or physicians who plan to work in or teach in the field of family medicine, general internal medicine, general pediatrics, or geriatrics."

On page 881-882 the bill states:

awarding grants or contracts under this section, the Secretary shall give preference to entities that have a demonstrated record of the following: . . . Training individuals who are from underrepresented minority groups or disadvantaged backgrounds."

On page 883 the bill states:

"The Secretary shall make grants to, or enter into contracts with, eligible entities . . . to operate or participate in an established primary care residency training program, which may include-(A) planning and developing curricula; (B) recruitment and training of residents; and (C) retention of faculty."

On page 884-885 the bill states:

awarding grants and contracts . . . the Secretary shall give preference to entities that have a demonstrated record of training . . . individuals who are from underrepresented minority groups or disadvantaged backgrounds . . . ."

On page 887-889 the bill states that the

"Secretary shall make grants to, or enter into contracts with, eligible entities . . . to operate a professional training program for oral health professionals, to provide financial assistance and traineeships and fellowships to those professionals who plan to work in or teach general, pediatric, or public health dentistry, or dental hygiene, to establish, maintain, or improve academic administrative units (including departments, divisions, or other appropriate units) in the specialties of general, pediatric, or public health dentistry, to operate a loan repayment program for full-time faculty in a program of general, pediatric, or public health dentistry."

On page 889-890 the bill states:

awarding grants or contracts under this section, the Secretary shall give preference to entities that have a demonstrated record of the following: . . . Training individuals who are from underrepresented minority groups or disadvantaged backgrounds."

On page 908-909 the bill states: "The Secretary shall award grants and contracts to eligible entities" to do the same things for the field of public health as the Secretary can do for dentistry.

On page 909 the bill states:

"awarding grants or contracts under this section, the Secretary shall give preference to entities that have a demonstrated record of the following: . . . Training individuals who are from underrepresented minority groups or disadvantaged backgrounds."

Apart from the legality of such preferences under the U.S. Constitution and the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and the unfairness to those who are not "individuals who are from underrepresented minority groups", the Democrats' policy will foster the racial preference climate that continues to stigmatize and demean those individuals who receive the preferences.

I don't know about you. But, I can deal with the affirmative
action mope at the BMV who can't speak understandable
english. And I can handle the clerk at Target who can't
make change from a $10 dollar bill when the cash register
malfunctions.

And as much as I despise the ruling on affirmative action
concerning the University of Michigan's Law School admission
policies, an unqualified attorney probably isn't going to kill me.

But, Doctors?

Do you want someone cutting your chest open, or performing
your brain surgery, who only got into medical school because
of the color of their skin and affirmative action?

...especially, when under Obama's program, you won't be
choosing your own doctor for long.

And when and where is it all going to end?

Do you remember Obama's economic adviser Robert Reich's
comments about the Obama stimulus plan?

Where he said he didn't want jobs going to "white male
construction workers."

You can watch it here:

youtube.com

I guess maybe we should have paid more attention to Reich's
words, as well as Obama's himself, when he slurred white
working class Pennsylvanian's "for clinging to their God,
and their guns."

Is it me, or is it becoming abundantly clear that this
President has a real problem with any white men who work,
who pay their taxes, who are family oriented, who believe
in God, who are Pro-Life, and who wish to exercise their
Constitutional right to bear arms?

And here's my main problem with the entire "white guilt"
complex that people like Reich and Obama want to lay on
white America.

What about the Americans who came to America to escape
the potato famine in Ireland? Or, those who came from
Poland, or Hungary, to escape Hitler's Nazi invasion?
Or, the Italian's who desired to escape from Mussolini's
fascism?

And what about those whose ancestors were slaves themselves
in feudal Europe? And those who came to escape religious
persecution?

These people didn't own slaves, or oppress anyone. They
were the oppressed.

And they don't owe anyone reparations for anything.

Why should their children go to the back of the admissions,
or jobs bus, because they're white?

This is insanity.

We've had liberal elitists with twisted social and political
agendas play this "White Guilt" race card one time too many.

I've had enough.

I don't owe anyone anything.

I don't discriminate against anyone because they're non-white
and I won't tolerate anyone discriminating against me because
I am white.

And when is this going to end?

In another 25 years?

In 50 years?

How many jobs do we have to award on "preference?"

When does affirmative action end?

How much money do we have to spend?

Is this a permanent tax on being white?

Is this something we have to pay for into perpetuity?

When is enough, enough?

When will the score be settled?

PS: Obama showed his true colors last night with his
comments on the Henry Louis Gates case, where after
admitting he didn't have the facts of the case, and
hadn't read the police report; called the actions of
the Cambridge Police - "stupid."

I guess Obama could no more distance himself from
Henry Louis Gates' disorderly conduct and racist
comments about the officers "mamma" than he could
those of Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Kind of makes you wonder who the real racist is here.

Oh... and PPS:

Remember the psychopathic, eugenics whack job that Obama
appointed for Science Czar - John Holdren. They guy who
wants forced abortions, and who also wants to sterilize the
population via the water supply.

prisonplanet.com

Well you haven't seen anything yet...

Did you see who Obama appointed for his "Green Jobs Czar?"

An open radical, black nationalist, self-avowed communist.

Yep, you read that right. He became "radicalized" while in
jail. And views environmental activism as a means to advance
the ultra-left's Orwellian notion of "justice." He has
referred to himself not only as a "communist," but as a
"rowdy black nationalist."

His name is Van Jones and you can read about him here:

wnd.com

Oh, and that part about using the environment to advance
social justice?

Wait until you read the fine print in the Cap & Trade Energy
Bill, where low-income folk will receive rebates and
allowances, so they won't be affected by carbon taxes.

Rebates and allowances that you and I will be paying for.

Reparations by any other name, are still reparations.
