The Sunshine Coast was a holiday destination every summer as a kid, skookumchuck narrows has a wicked tidal flow, if you don't know what you;re doing, you stay off the water.
From the BC Parks website:
On a 3 metre tide, 200 billion gallons of water flow through the narrows connecting Sechelt and Jervis Inlet.
Now I stay on land and go up and golf every year...lol
