My sister just got back from a family cruise up to Alaska with 14 members of her family. She had a cabin in the middle of the ship, the others had aft cabins with balconies.

She and her son were the only ones who didn't get sick. There were 6 grandkids under 10, 3 got a virus and 3 were seasick the entire time. 6 adults had a combination of the virus and seasickness. It rained and stormed most of the time and they were going through 20' waves, which is why everyone got seasick, particularly at the rear of the ship.
