It is difficult to imagine that the proposed health care bill will lead to government mandated euthanasia. However, as it seems to be an article of faith with you I won't attempt to disabuse you of the idea. As for advance care consultation, bring your lawyer, doctor, family members, whoever can guide your decision. The consultation should take place before you become non compos mentis. It is never too early. Do you have any evidence that the gov't will attempt to coerce anyone into accepting lesser care than they wish to receive? In most cases the opposite happens.
