I see from the # of shares bought that you and I play in the same
league. I'm not too sure that we aboard that boat are ever going
to get pink carpet treatment, let alone the darker shade of floor
covering.
I don't know who you trade with, but I'm with DLJDirect (used to
be PCFN), and with almost all of the market orders I've placed over
the phone, talking to a live person, I've been able to get verbal
confirmation within a minute or so. (Tho' not very often at the
bid.) Since the markets are opening when I'm leaving my driveway,
phone trading is very important to me. Now, yesterday or Monday,
I'm not too sure that that would have been the case, but it
usually works. Nice people, too.
As a little guy, I think my best protection is to buy on fundamentals,
and plan on holding until those F.'s bear fruit. (Tho' the lemons
can be a little tart!)
If I had some spare bucks (Har-de-har!), Fid. Sel. Energy still
looks good to me, despite it's excellent recent run.
Better saddle up, wage slavery beckons.
