"Census counts are for practical reasons,"

The right to be counted as people would certainly suggest they have a right to life. If these six million zygotes in the U.S each year are truly persons, then they already HAVE the legal human right to be counted as people. It would not be for you to say their right is "impractical", now would it?

How can you tell a particular class of persons that their "RIGHTS" are impractical. Impractical for blacks and women to vote??

And if they were human persons they would have the right to safety and to life wouldn't they? So wouldn't society be forced to lock up a mother and force feed her proper nutrients if the mother was endangering the child's health by lifestyle? Shouldn't mothers who voluntarily conceive after 35 years old thereby increasing the risk of conditions such as Downs upon the fetus to be...shouldn't these mothers be dealt with in some way??

How can you say that a zygote is a human person while permitting a mother to live an unhealthy lifestyle?? You don't let a mother endanger the health and safety of her two year old by neglect, lack of proper food, inadequate nurture, etc. So would it not be perfectly reasonable to tranquilize the mother and feed her (and thus her fetus) intravenously?
