The last time I was stopped for a traffic ticket I felt it was an unjust stop. I also realized the first rule of holes was not keep digging. I was Joe polite to an extreme and the matter passed. My ticket was for an illegal right hand turn on red. The no turn sign was extremely difficult to see at night. I have now noticed the the signage has been completely changed. Someone must have fought that ticket and won. The cop was white. I am white. I had no doubt that bad behavior on my part could make a nothing situation ugly fast. That was not stereotyping - that was a recognition of fact. Gates from what I can see should apologize, shut up and hope it all goes away. He has now tarred his reputation of being a scholar in the worst way. Bob
