It's amazing how diametrically opposite some of the views of these experts are.

Defensive medicine is a big, really BIG, part of health care costs here - anyone who discounts that is, to put it mildly, either naive or 'a serious economist'.

However, that's not to say tort reform is a magic bullet that's going to make defensive medicine disappear altogether.
