Yes and one would think that a friend of the President who has become a millionaire and holds a prestigious position at Harvard would not act like a grievance seeking ass. Who can say what a lifetime's accumulated slurs can do to a man? The black friend I mentioned last week was a child of parents in academe and an easy-going, friendly man. But apparently he snapped when the police tried to detain him on unspecified charges and they crushed him to death in the process. Although he was a close friend, I could never walk a mile in his shoes because of our differing skin colors.
