It would probably also encourage cheating- so that's something for people who push this kind of system to think about. Just as in the classroom, whenever a test is "high stakes" you've built a system that makes it more likely people will try to cheat. Definitely true, but again, not much different than most professions. We have certainly seen the pressure on CEO's can drive them to cheat. It wouldnt be foolproof but data analysis could help point principals in the direction of potential cheaters. For example, if you saw every kid in the class get the right answer on the exact same 10 questions or if you consistently saw kids have dramatic fallbacks in the year after having a certain teacher.
