Who's going to make this transition to 3G CDMA happen? The infrastructure suppliers such as Nortel -- OOPS!. Let's start over: the infrastructure suppliers such as Ericsson, Nokia, Alcatel-Lucent, Motorola, and a few other marginal players. The only major infrastructure supplier not based in Europe is Motorola. Now, given the fact european manufacturers like Ericsson and Nokia are heavily dependent on GSM, why in the world would they transition GSM to 3G? So they can pay royalties to Qualcomm and take orders from Paul Jacobs and Steve Altman? We all know the answer to this one.

If the number of CDMA subscribers begins to decrease, it's all over for Paul Jacobs and company at Qualcomm.
