Obama is really regretting that he let an honest guy slip in as his TARP czar. Why don't you consider that in the face of stiff opposition, Obama managed to slip in one honest guy. Since Obama has agreed to a 6 month extension in SS protection to Dick Cheney, would you consider that as Obama agreeing with Cheney politically? Why not? It is time we let this Administration govern. In order to bring everybody to the table and have them agree to do things "the Obama way", it is necessary to adopt the carrot and stick method which Obama is doing. Beat them up, call them "stupid" and then invite them to a beer at the White House. while at the same time telling Gates to cease thinking of a lawsuit and rewarding him with a beer for doing so. France has been increasingly successful in blending free market with regulations. Ron Paul needs to explain why he thinks that it will not succeed in the US.
