I almost went with your take on the Gates/Crowley dustup. I wanted to believe that Crowley acted appropriately and without prejudice. This was inspite of my experience with the LAPD and their prejudices when I worked for the councilman. Inspite of my witnessing the brutal beating of a Latino man.....6 cops against one.....in front of my house and getting threatened by the police when I tried to intercede. And here it is again.........Crowley lied on the police report. He saw black men with back packs when no one told him there were any. Instead of teaching a racial profiling class, Crowley needs to attend one.
