I'll go along with O'R being an a-hole - he's getting a little full of himself. What I've heard him say is that there is some global warming in places as part of a natural cycle but it has nothing to do with it being man-made and therefore it's a non-issue. Global warming and global cooling happens. Maybe you heard something else. Also, I heard him say that carbon footprints are a crock. He said pay attention to what Cap and Trade is really doing.
I don't mind the "question Obama" word spreading to CNN or anywhere else. I just wish they would focus on things that are meaningful.
Sure they could produce the birth certificate, end it all and confirm that he is a U.S. citizen. It's just not reasonable to think that dozens, even hundreds who were in on helping him get elected didn't consider that possibility. But why not keep the doubters distracted - they have the millions to keep that going. Good way to discredit people - like Dobbs.
That's a distraction. It doesn't matter as much as all the other things that are going on. Pursuing that is going to take what? A recall? Impeachment? Negation of the election (if there is such a thing)? And then what? Biden's president? Or is he? He would be part of the recall, etc., so that gives us Pelosi. There's a good result.
Racism has reared its ugly head again and Obama did nothing more than confirm where he's coming from. People who pay attention are not surprised by this. So?
Another distraction. Racism. Use it whenever and wherever possible - Saul Alinski.
Does anyone really think that was an off-the-cuff remark by Obama? Does anyone think that was nothing more than a very calculated "safe" way of distracting people? I say safe because it only stands to reason that Obama would rush to defend his friend (probably no more than an acquaintance - blacks who knew of each other on the campus - Gates admits in a video that there were only a small number on campus). Gibbs even admitted that they knew the question was coming.
If you're Rahm or other advisors, are you going to tell him to call the cops stupid and not expect an uproar. Yep. Distraction.
Healthcare isn't going so well: distract the people with something they feel passionate about. Racism. Everybody is talking about it. All the threads, all the talk shows, all the blogs, all the news programs are now talking about Gatesgate.
(Oh by the way, Gates has a documentary on racism in America on PBS coming up soon. Has been in the works for months.)
And here we are, closing in on the summer break. "Not my fault. I did everything I could to get this through. Look at what you people turned this into."
