Have you looked at the Republican approval ratings? The 'newly elected honeymoon' is over for Obama but people HATE the Republicans.

Depending on which poll you look at the Democrat congress has between a -28 and -43. That's not impressive.

Even the DailyKOS poll has a -11 on the right track/wrong track. The difference between Rs and Ds on the generic ballot is negligible.

The people are sick of what this congress is doing, and even sicker about what the president is doing.

Now, if the economy happens to turn around by this time next year, they may have a shot; obviously, it would not be due to Obama policy of wild pork barrel spending, but he will be the beneficiary if it happens. Otherwise, the rule of Obama will have been a short one.
