I happen to think that if we had handled the Taliban "efficiently" in the FIRST PLACE we wouldn't have to worry about this now.


The twentieth anniversary of Russia's withdrawal from Afghanistan passed recently. They tried to handle Afghanistan efficiently. It turned into a quagmire for them. The country does not want to be ruled by outside forces.

Afghanistan submitting to internal rule will be a miracle enough. Of course your usurper can walk on water, etc. so he should be able to handle Afghanistan without breaking a sweat.
