Brumar, I don't know if you actually believe this stuff or are just so hostile to Obama and/or his idea of a federal role in health care that you will assert anything that might cut it down, no matter how ridiculous. Nor do I know what would provoke some reader to actually recommend the post.

As I would hope everyone around here knows by now, I do not support this initiative as it is currently conceived, not by a long shot. But I have a sense of intellectual integrity that just won't let this crap stand.

There IS a whole lot of care being provided by the health care system that is not making us any healthier. Do I trust Obama and his merry men to aptly identify it and act appropriately on those findings? No. But that doesn't change that fact that the health care system needlessly pays for a lot of waste.

However, to take that and turn it into a straw man that has us killing off celebrities or ordinary people with serious and expensive illnesses is either extremely dishonest or downright insane depending upon the sincerity of the proponents. Shame on you.
