Well, if you make assertions and don't explain the basis of them, a person is free to think your assertions are baseless.

What blows me away with you is that you have no interest in learning anything.

Amazing claim from someone who won't or can't support the things he asserts. Apparently you think "learning" is blind acceptance of whatever the great mind (just ask him) koan says.

I will change any idea in a heartbeat if I see the evidence to the contrary. I am not married to any ideas.

Okay, you claimed Democrats favor public campaign financing over financing by industry-linked contributions, but when shown evidence to the contrary - that Obama broke his pledge to go the public financing route and that Democrats are in fact the major recipients of the top politically contributing industries - did you change your ideas as a result of that evidence?

When we introduced science, doctors quit bleeding people to death

Actually, bleeding people was accepted by medical science at one time.

we wquit buring witches at the stake or heretics.

OTOH, we also began sterilizing groups declared "scientifically unfit" - I refer to the "science" of eugenics which spread as a result of Darwin's teachings.

Take a look at the last century: modern enlightened scientific man has produced greater massacres and mass killings, more unjust imprisonment and persecution than had ever occurred in human history. Yes, the middle ages were dark and bloody and primitive, but take a look at world history of the past century - it has also been dark and bloody and primitive. Humans aren't better than they ever were and evil still resides in the human heart.
