And all the stalwart liberal progressive committee chairmen haven't taken millions and millions from the industries they oversee in the last few decades? Griping about politicians taking donations is like condemning someone for bringing beer to a BBQ. Everybody does it. The basic problem remains - California and East Coast liberals cannot elect enough people in Congress to pass the pure agenda they really want. They never will in our system. They can work with the others, as they seem to be doing now, or they can pick up their toys and go home and point fingers. Hopefully after the this first chaotic year, the new political currents will get aligned with one another, and we can have a smoother congressional caucus for the next three years to get other important stuff done. Obama needs to take a larger role when things go off the rails, IMHO.
