There was a recent story, in the Times, if I remember, abut all the fund raising for the Blue Dogs by the healthcare industrial complex. I recall something similar. But the problem I see is that the healthcare industry is all over these bills, not simply trying to block them, but trying to make certain that whatever passes leaves loopholes for their particular, fairly narrow interests. That's another reason why I'm sort of waiting to see what passes either chamber of congress before I spend a great deal of time trying to get on top of the tradeoffs. Having said that I have a few "musts", public option with high floors being the principle one.
