Meanwhile, Seattle has all-time record heat, 103F, and my local power grid is knocked offline twice, for 2.5 hours and then for another 20 minutes. Earlier this week, my local water main ruptured, although that was likely a construction accident.

It's like we're living a trailer to a 3rd world lifestyle.
