And the last specific poll I saw something like 70% supported a public option.

That is not the same thing as supporting this legislation. I responded to a poll the other day and that was one of the questions. I said I supported it. I support it because, if we're going to be stuck with this mess anyway, I think it would be useful to have that as a demonstration project and safety valve.

My point is that you can't infer from that 70% support that there is 70% support for this legislation or 70% support for single payer.
