Does it bother anyone that the govt is taking money out of your pocket and paying to those folks who have inefficient vehicles? now they are thinking of expanding the cash for clunkers program from original 1B commitment. This is based on their static EPA ratings for different car models which assumes that a static rating of 18 miles per gallon is worse than actual consumption of 14 miles a gallon for a car that had a static rating of say 20 miles a gallon. That is, they are not even finding the best vehicles to eliminate. Would certainly want them to do more diligence if they are going to piss away more public money; yet another example of hastily implemented programs to shower public money
