Any bill that does not provide, at a minimum, for a public option with reimbursement rates based on Medicare rates—not negotiated rates—is unacceptable.

Thank you, thank you. A tax subsidized public plan paying doctors only 85% of their costs (the Medicare average) is the sine qua non for the looney lefters running Nancy Pelosi's House, the prized stalking horse for a one-payer system. If the doctors and insurance companies do not wake up now to what the Democrats have planned for them, they are hopeless.
