That picture reveals more than meets the eye.

Obama is, as usual, in his own head and oblivious to what is going on around him unless it provides him his necessary and favorable light.

Gates is more dependent on others than he can admit. He is more helpless than he knows as his past frames of reference begin to fade.

Crowley is Crowley: ready to assist and to serve, without looking around to see who he might favorably impress.
