7/31/09 update
No doubt, tuckered out from their battles earlier in the month, both Bulls & Bears took a bit of a siesta in July's final week. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 25.89% CYTD, or Contest Year To Date, (vs. up 25.09% CYTD a week ago), the Nasdaq Biotech Index closed up 13.60% CYTD (vs. up 12.30% CYTD a week ago), while our marvelous Contest median closed up 30.06% CYTD (vs. up 29.86% CYTD a week ago).
We have a new leader! Although RKRW's portfolio closed the week with more than a double, super-charged GENE's portfolio glided right by into first place, with MIKE's portfolio holding on to third place.
The week's closing CYTD percentages are: GENE up an amazing 115.41%, RKRW up 101.29%, MIKE up 87.13%.
At Friday's close, an impressive 28 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black and 21 of the 32 were beating the NBI.
Have a wonderful weekend folks!
Below is the Top Ten list on 7/31/09:
